MILEY CYRUS' SINGLE WAS INTENDED FOR SOMEONE ELSE
Miley Cyrus' new single, "We Can't Stop" was actually intended for someone else! The producer of the track, Mike WiLL Made It, told MTV News, "It was kind of crazy 'cause ... when I originally worked on 'We Can't Stop,' we had did it for Rihanna. The idea was more towards Rihanna. And then Rihanna, she heard "Pour It Up," and then she got on "Pour It Up" right away. And she didn't even hear "We Can't Stop." So then we finished up the record."
Mike then gave the song to the Disney star, who added her on flavor to the record. He continued, "We went in, she nailed the record, and she did it with her swag. So it sounds totally different than from what we originally tried to come up with."
MUMFORD AND SONS BASSIST HOSPITALIZED FOR BLOOD CLOT ON BRAIN
Mumford And Sons bassist Ted Dwane underwent emergency surgery on Monday (June 10th) to remove a blood clot on his brain, according to Billboard. Dwane's condition forced the group to cancel shows on Tuesday night (June 11th) in Dallas, Wednesday (June 12th) in the Woodlands, Texas and Thursday (June 13th) in New Orleans. So far, the quartet's appearance at the Bonnaroofestival this Saturday (June 15th) remains unaffected.
A statement posted by the band at their website read in part, "Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery."
Mumford And Sons plan to reschedule the canceled dates as soon as possible. The British band's current North American run is slated to end on June 20th at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado.
