The third episode is where Glee will address Finn’s departure and Cory Monteith’s tragic death. Co-creator Ryan Murphy says, “The right thing is to have that character pass. When we do Finn’s tribute episode, we'll have to do it in an upbeat way.”
In conjunction, the cast will produce a public service announcement (PSA) about the evils of drug addiction.
Murphy has said that he was prepared to cancel Glee in the wake of Cory’s accidental overdose, but he didn’t upon Lea Michele’s insistence.
The entire cast is returning to Los Angeles this weekend. The scripts have been rewritten and the first day back to work is Monday. Grief counselors will be on the Glee set.
