And I don't mean that they stop your life! :)  Change it, yes...but stop it no.

I mean they are a great way to make YOU stop....and see things differently sometimes.

Yesterday was a busy crazy day for me.  I had work, getting the kids to school, picking Ella up and bringing her back here and then I had 2 different doctor appointments too....on opposite sides of town.

So....I was busy!  And between doing all that, as a Mom too, I was also trying to figure out dinner...homework, showers, bedtime...and how it was all going to get done!

So it was during our drive from the south hill ( dr appt 1 ) to the north side of town ( for appt 2) and it was around 4, so it was getting dark too.

I was driving thru a neighborhood when I heard it from the back seat.  The simple sound of " Ohhhhhhhhh    pretty".

Christmas lights.

Some houses had up their outside Christmas lights.  And it was pretty.

Ella saw it and said it.  I was just focused on getting to the next place and what still had to be done in the day....I didn't notice the lights until she said something.

She made me stop....and look.  And see too, the pretty christmas lights.  Which actually made me stop for a moment....and relax and smile for a moment too.  Which I think is partially what the lights are put up for.  To help celebrate a time of year and make it all a bit brighter.

I might have missed it all....if it weren't for the 5 year old stop sign in my backseat too.
