Hey, its 2013!!!

And I didn't see it come in! :)

Usually the family and I go out to my parents house where there is a full neighborhood bon-fire to bring in the new year, complete with fireworks.  Its fun.

But this year...the thought of having to stay up until midnight...just wasn't happening.  For me or the hubby.

So we bailed on it.  For the first time in a long long time.

Instead, we stayed home and in.  Had just a nice quiet evening...well, the girls were downstairs watching movie after movie...fun for them!  And we were upstairs watching a Ron White DVD I had just picked up and had a bit of bubbly.

Then at 9:15pm...I said hey, its new years in New York.  Happy new year...kissed the hubby and went to bed!  I did wake up around midnight to hear the popping in the distance of fireworks going off....and went back to sleep.

It was actually a nice thing to start the year, waking in my own bed....lazing around actually...watching tv in bed ( which is seriously like the funnest thing EVER to me!) until my hubby declared that its mean to make him watch and listen to THAT much food network without offering to make breakfast too!  So up we got to make breakfast and start the new year!!!

Yes, resolutions have been made...hopes have been set...and actually, a party or 3 are in the works.  Ella's bday is Friday, and so...we jump right into another busy week and another busy - but good - year!!!
