I don't mean the internet itself...I mean its abilities to let the whole world now know when we do stupid stuff!
Years ago, if you did something stupid, you would hope that someone had a video camera rolling and if it was truly funny, you could send it in to a tv show and maybe win 10 thousand dollars!
Now...you know someone is videoing you somewhere and odds are that you will end up on youtube or facebook and everyone will see you. No 10 thousand dollars for you this time tho.
Why am I bringing this up?
For one, I have found myself recently saying things like this better not show up on facebook or I hope no one youtubes this!
But also because I found this story going around the old internet this morning...and it made me laugh.
IN a good way!
Because as a mom I realize that when you get with your friends to relax and have some fun...perhaps with too much wine...that you COULD possibly do something silly and goofey...and that it could backfire and you end up all over the internet.
Like what this lady did!
An Oxford woman who got a little too tipsy while having a girl’s night is probably regretting having all that wine…and allowing a friend to fire up the camera to capture the night’s events.
Serena Curtis was having a grand old time with her ladies when she decided it would be hilarious to get in her son’s high chair. It was, but only until she realized she was stuck. Firefighters had to be called to pry her out of the chair once she concluded that she wasn’t budging.
She has now been seen world wide by those curious and understanding enough to click on her video to see more....and altho she has quick fame....she has no 10 thousand dollars. Just a lot of laughing to do!!
